Solution Session - Time-to-hire slowing you down? 3 surprising ways AMS and Johnson & Johnson changed the game
Location: Mandalay Bay KL Ballroom
Tuesday, 24 September 2024: 12:45 - 1:15 PM PDT
When global medtech and healthcare giant, Johnson & Johnson needed to reduce time-to-hire rates and increase agility in their hiring processes, they turned to the leading tech-enabled talent outsourcing company AMS for help. AMS’s deep understanding of talent-tech optimization coupled with dedicated talent consulting experts had already reduced time-to-hire rates by c.25% for a global pharma peer, making them the ideal partner for success with Johnson & Johnson. This session explored the main challenges faced by Johnson & Johnson in addressing their hiring needs and revealed three surprising ways AMS’s technology solutions changed the game.
Learning Objectives:
1) Tech AND touch is the key to maximizing applications: It’s well known that application completions are a challenge in the high-volume space. AMS combined the right tech approach AND the human touch delivering a 99% completion rate.
2) Faster really does mean better: J&J previously adopted a manual process at in-person events to hire. AMS enabled tech, which is now used at events to deliver a faster process and achieve a 96% NPS score.
3) Scalable options attract leadership support: when tech options work AND can be scaled across operations, leadership support increases. Together with J&J we were able to build trust in their tech journey and their plans for the future.

One of the most significant challenges in talent acquisition within matrixed organizations such as higher education, is balancing the unique requirements of each school or unit with the increasing need for more efficient and harmonized processes. Coupled with the need to drive innovation in attracting and engaging potential talent, Harvard embarked on a strategic journey to redefine the talent acquisition experience through technology for all stakeholders. By partnering with AMS Harvard transformed its talent technology vision into reality. This session covered how they navigated the complex talent technology landscape by making strategic choices, developing clear requirements, designing persona-based experiences, and outlining use cases that ultimately guided their technology decisions.
